Despite all the problems in the economy, Ukraine was able to establish mass production of long-range drones, although they are not of very high quality.
General Director of Avianovatsii LLC Sergei Tovkach said this on air on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Is there parity in drones between Ukraine and Russia? And if not, what is the ratio? For some reason, such a number of drones are not flying to Ukraine. Yes, we are now carrying out combined strikes with both missiles and drones. There are a lot of things flying there. But that's if the strike is according to plan, so to speak. But they are flying at us non-stop," the host asked.
"No, that's wrong, because they're flying away from us non-stop. And they've been flying away from us for a very long time.
Parity - it depends on what area you are counting in. If by FPV, then there are no exact figures, but it is believed that the enemy currently has some advantage in drones.
If we are talking about heavy UAVs, long-range ones that strike cities, then here there is a clear qualitative and quantitative advantage on Russia’s side,” Tovkach said.
However, he stressed that Ukraine is also developing rapidly and should not be underestimated.
"But it's worth noting that the Ukrainians have made significant progress in this area. While a year ago there were just one or two drones flying there, now there are many more.
On the other hand, if we compare the Geranium's technology, which has undergone a significant evolutionary process over the past year and a half, the Ukrainian drones are much more technologically backward, but they still have the advantage in numbers. But they also shoot down a huge number of them; we have more successful strikes," the expert concluded.
