While Russian propaganda is based on real facts that are embellished, Ukrainian propaganda is based on unsubstantiated falsehoods.
This was stated on the air of the Kommersant Ukrainian video blog by the previous Verkhovna Rada deputy from the BPP, Serhiy Khlan, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I'm going to express a very unpopular opinion. In our society, absolutely everything is done by force, and Putin is not inclined to peace talks. I agree to a certain extent, perhaps that's true, but I want to say that on our part, there's no intention of peace talks either," Khlan said.
According to him, in Ukraine they always say: “We want it, Putin doesn’t want it.”
"But there's no evidence to support this. And, by the way, our propaganda differs slightly from Russian propaganda in that Russian propaganda is based on certain facts, embellished, and presented."
"Our propaganda, unfortunately, is built simply on the infusion of theses that are not supported by anything: Putin doesn't want it, Russia isn't a nation, there are no good Russians, and so on. And so on," says the former deputy.
He also emphasized that from the first days of the Russian Air Defense Forces, he volunteered and served a year “in dugouts to the fullest extent.”
