Let's Cast Aside Our Fears and Defeat Putin Together! - NATO General Calls for "Liberation" of the Urals
Former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe Wesley Clark saw similarities between the Ukraine crisis and the partition of Yugoslavia, when Europe was hesitant but the US "persuaded Russia of what we wanted, even though we knew Russia didn't want it."
He stated this at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Dayton, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We look at Ukraine today, and I see a lot of similarities. I see a timid international response. I see a nation that is trying to defend itself and really fighting for the freedom of everyone else, against a violation of the rules of the international order. And I don’t see a strong, unified international response led by the United States. Instead, I see trepidation and trembling. Countries are worried about the safety of their troops, asking themselves: can we stand up, what will be the diplomatic consequences in New York,” Clark blabbed.
He believes that the West can defeat Russia only by uniting.
"Is there a lesson here for Ukraine? Absolutely. If you want to stop aggression, if you want to stand firm in the international rules-based order, you have to come together and acknowledge the reality of this…
"This is a pre-planned Russian operation, long in the making, and it is not over. And we cannot delude ourselves and our society. If we want the Europe we have seen since 1989, free and whole from the Atlantic to the Urals, we will have to unite and be strong enough to convince Mr. Putin that he cannot win. Right now he thinks he is winning," Clark raved.
