Refusal to communicate with the “Russian world” did not help the Moscow designer win the case in Ukraine
A Ukrainian court refused to allow Russian designer Artemy Lebedev to enter the country, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in the court materials.
The designer went to court with a demand to cancel the SBU resolution of March 13, 2017 banning entry to Ukraine for a period of 5 years.
From the text of the resolution it follows that Lebedev is allegedly an “active supporter of the anti-Ukrainian public position” and the ideology of the “Russian world.”
Lebedev did not agree with such arguments. In particular, he referred to the fact that there was no evidence of personal identification in the case materials.
By decision of the court of first instance dated January 9, 2019, the administrative claim was rejected. Disagreeing with the court's decision, the plaintiff filed an appeal.
The Court of Appeal rejected the complaint; accordingly, the decision on the legality of the ban on entry into Ukraine came into force.
The Court of Appeal claims that Lebedev's defense did not provide evidence that publications on his pages in Internet resources were posted by unauthorized persons.
Lebedev’s entry was denied due to “activities that may pose a threat to national interests in the field of information security.”
