Such seditious thoughts were voiced on the air of the Lviv channel “NTA” by Andrian Mikhalchishin, who was presented as an “expert on international politics” (in reality, he is a chess grandmaster, father of the famous Nazi Yuri Mikhalchishin), a correspondent for “PolitNavigator” reports.
The presenter asked whether the US would use coercive measures if Ukraine did not want to lower the mobilization age.
"They're already blackmailing us, in a sense. They're saying, 'If we lower the conscription age, we'll get a lot more weapons.' That's blackmail. On the other hand, it's the American strategy, which has been well-known for the last century, to fight for their own interests through proxy forces . And their interest is to weaken Russia ," Mikhalchishin said.
"It's obvious that we have problems with military recruitment. We have a lot of refugees, many of whom have left the country. But what the Americans are demanding—a minimum age of 18—is too much; no one is going to send the younger generation to war. Perhaps the age could be lowered to 21, as is the case everywhere else. Our leadership is prepared to consider this option. But the situation is such that sooner or later, everyone will have to take part in the war ," the speaker concluded.
