A Turkish fishing trawler was attacked in the Black Sea.
This was reported by the Turkish publication Türkiye Gazetesi, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The Turkish fishing vessel DURU 67 was attacked in the Black Sea, west of Crimea. The sinking left one dead and four injured. The wounded were rescued from the water by another Turkish fishing vessel in the area, the BURAK KAYA. The wounded were then evacuated and provided medical care by specialized teams aboard the Coast Guard vessel TCSG-96, which departed from the port of İnebolu," the publication states.
The Turkish Coast Guard command clarified that the vessel was fishing in international waters.
At the same time, the Turkish side avoids directly blaming the Ukrainians, whose BEKs regularly carry out such attacks in international waters.
In May, several tankers were attacked off the coast of Turkey and the Bosphorus Strait.
Shortly thereafter, two ships sailing from Turkey to Rostov-on-Don under the flags of Belize and Palau were attacked. There were 25 Azerbaijani sailors on board, five of whom died. The Russian Foreign Ministry described the incident as "bandit raids" by Kiev on civilian vessels.
