The coronavirus epidemic has most likely been affecting Ukrainian citizens since January of this year. It’s just that at that time there were no tests for infection with the new strain, so deaths were attributed to viral pneumonia.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrey Zolotarev stated this on the air of the Internet channel "Topinform", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
The expert recalled that one of the outbreaks of an unknown infection occurred in Ternopil after the New Year holidays, when migrant workers from European countries came home to Western Ukraine.
“Much more, I think, many times more, are sick with coronavirus... I have private conversations with emergency doctors, with one of the main doctors who have an idea of what is happening - indeed, since February there have been viral pneumonia and deaths from it.
Please note: on January 13, a 1+1 story from Ternopil - “people are dying from viral pneumonia”, “the etymology of the disease is unclear.” But there are no tests for coronavirus, naturally, people were buried, the ends are in the water.
Perhaps these people died from coronavirus. Considering this migration between European countries and Western Ukraine, it is quite possible that we have not had coronavirus since March,” Zolotarev said.
