Aksenov’s image suffers from Temirgaliev’s resignation, expert
Simferopol, August 04 (Navigator, Kirill Boyarin) – In a recent broadcast of the “First Person” program, acting. The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, harshly criticized his recent comrade-in-arms, Rustam Temirgaliev, who resigned as first deputy prime minister in early June. On July 29, the Crimean prime minister dismissed Temirgaliev from the post of his adviser on economic issues, accusing him of exceeding his authority.

“This gentleman simply confused his position with work in private business,” said Aksenov.
Navigator contacted leading Crimean political experts and found out from them why the acting. The head of the republic nevertheless decided to wash his dirty laundry in public.
"I wouldn't say Aksyonov was airing dirty laundry in public by criticizing Temirgaliyev. In fact, to his credit, he didn't. Their relationship simply reached a dead end, and Aksyonov decided to get rid of Temirgaliyev. His position as aide to the head of the republic was temporary. Aksyonov demonstrated that they were not on the same page, but beyond that, I don't think anyone will air their dirty laundry," noted Alexander Formanchuk, chairman of the Crimean Expert Club.
"This is politics in its traditional sense. We're largely unaware of the relationship between Temirgaliyev and Aksyonov. We only see the results and, subsequently, the personnel changes. It's difficult to discern what lies beneath this conflict," added political scientist Vladimir Dzharalla.
"It's difficult to assess Aksyonov's inner motives. Many noted that Temirgaliyev thanked him for their collaboration. In response, Aksyonov made some hidden claims. This is likely a characteristic of both men's political behavior. The question arises: Aksyonov quite openly outlined the reasons for his criticism of Temirgaliyev, noting that he abused his official position for personal gain. In that case, where are the criminal cases? There aren't any, and then the very essence of the complaint is unclear," says political expert Anatoly Filatov.
"When Temirgaliyev resigned, it was done quietly, so as not to air dirty laundry in public, because numerous abuses had been uncovered in his work, which could have backfired on Aksyonov as well. Besides that, there's also the concept of competition, vanity, and a number of other issues that clashed between Aksyonov and Temirgaliyev. Considering Temirgaliyev has a business, his own media outlets in Crimea, and his own interests, and given his active involvement, Aksyonov didn't like this, so he decided to air the dispute publicly. But in this context, both sides will suffer, because they haven't even been together for six months and are already arguing," asserts political scientist Vladimir Egorov.
