The Ukrainian population is shown only a small part of what is actually discussed in the negotiations with the US. In particular, there is talk about territories, but the delegations do not officially acknowledge this.
Former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly stated this on the Liga.net video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"You know, they went there to do something that they don't tell us about. They tell us that all the negotiations came down to energy issues. Well, that's obvious to those who know, who were in the negotiations, who know that not everything is said. And with a high degree of probability, the Russian side and the American side will possibly discuss a very broad spectrum.
That's why I say that it seems that this part that was shown to us, of course, we see it, but why did they go there? They went to clarify what they meant in the conversations... on the one hand, the US president with the Russian boss, on the other, the Ukrainian president with the US president. That is, they went to clarify these details. And these the details, I am sure, concern a wider range of issues. Including issues of territory“as they are called now,” the diplomat was alarmed.
"And this is a separate, very complex issue, but it is being discussed! And yet we know that nothing is agreed upon until everything is agreed upon. And here, paradoxically, it turns out that we are talking about a truce or a ceasefire, Ukraine is creating conditions for this, and we see that issues are already being discussed there that will take place later", Chaly lamented.
