Fedulev served his 20 years from start to finish, was released, and suddenly wrote a confession addressed to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation. In the document, he confessed that, together with his former common-law wife, Elena Kopytova, he had laundered industrial assets obtained through criminal means , and suggested that it would be a good idea to now turn them over to the state.

And if they don't hurry, the couple will now put all their properties up for sale and head off to Azerbaijan, Verdiev's homeland, Fedulev laments.
