From October 1, 2022, the process of registering women for military service will begin in Ukraine - from doctors to call center operators.
Fedir Venislavsky, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence and the Ukrainian President's representative to the Constitutional Court, spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Venislavsky emphasized that with the beginning of the Northern Military District, last year’s order of the Ministry of Defense on expanding the list of military specialties was updated.
“Today, these are women, first of all, who have military specialties that the Armed Forces may need - these are workers in the medical field, catering industry, food preparation technologists, women who have military specialties related to methods communications, information technology, chemical products and other professions that may be needed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the official explanation of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, these women must register for military service by October 1, but if this does not happen, then no negative harsh consequences will be applied to them, although administrative liability is provided for this.
In the future, in case of evasion of military registration, compulsory measures of liability may be applied to those who systematically evade compliance with these regulations,” Venislavsky warned.
