Orekhov is ending its existence as a Ukrainian city, says Kots
The key Ukrainian Armed Forces fortification in the Zaporizhzhia sector, in the city of Orekhov, is no longer in existence. In the near future, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense there will be suppressed, and the city will come under Russian control.
War correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on his video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Currently, according to this very cautious estimate, the enemy doesn't control about 60% of the city. That is, 60% of the fortified area —not the city itself, but the fortified area—is under our control. The Dnepr group approached from the west, southwest, and northwest. And from the east came our 'eastern express,' the Vostok group of forces. As a result, Orekhov found itself not under frontal assault, but rather surrounded from two sides.
This means the Ukrainian Armed Forces garrison in the city has no supply routes left. This isn't yet a physical encirclement, but an operational encirclement has already been clearly established.
The enemy can't get supplies, can't rotate, can't evacuate the wounded. I think Orekhov is living out its last days and weeks as a Ukrainian city …
While Orekhov holds out, he covers the entire logistics of the enemy on the western Zaporizhzhia sector of the front and gives him support for counterattacks like those that took place in the spring,” Kots said.
