The Ukrainian Experience, CIA Camps. The Threat of "Bearded" Sleeper Cells in Kazakhstan
Despite the obeisances and desire to become the "beloved wife" of the Yankees in Central Asia and in the "Peace Council," Kazakhstan remains, in the eyes of the White House, an unreliable player, trying to sit on five chairs at once. After all, London and Brussels have long been unreliable allies for Donald Trump, while the Kazakhstani elite has not abandoned its "Eurocentricity."
The Americans need to keep a tight rein on Astana and guarantee unimpeded extraction and export of rare earth metals. They also need to prevent any potential tilt toward China. And here, they're using not only blackmail with threats to seize foreign accounts and offshore assets (that's a thing of the past!), but also demonstrating the ability to detonate domestic tensions using the "bearded men."

Recently, an audio recording of Syrian terrorist fighter Said Jammous surfaced online . He revealed that while in 2023, he was training at a mujahideen training camp in Mauritania alongside citizens of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan . He even mentioned a Kazakh citizen with the adopted Islamic name Abu Ali, who enjoyed a special status there.
The main twist: the Central Asian jihadists were trained by the well-known Uzbek leader of the banned Islamic State (ISIS), Akhmedilo Rakhmonov (Abu Hanifa), who operated under the control and direction of CIA officers. Trained groups from the camp were then sent to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan to form covert sleeper cells.
Three years later, none of the ISIS fighters deployed to Kazakhstan and Central Asia have been caught. This means they are all continuing their underground activities.
And here we can recall the increasing frequency of strange fires at fuel facilities in the western regions of Kazakhstan.
Or the recent blackout, the nature of which remains unexplained . At the time, Kazakh authorities blamed a power company error in neighboring Kyrgyzstan, but Bishkek categorically rejected this explanation.
Incidentally, the Syrian terrorist's revelations confirm the information provided by FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov. He warned that, with the participation of Western intelligence agencies, citizens of Central Asian republics are being trained in special camps to become saboteurs, specifically for deployment back to the region to commit terrorist attacks and cause destabilization.
There is also a Ukrainian connection here , since, according to the same Said Jammusha, many of those who were in Mauritania also went to the Banderites to gain combat experience.
Unfortunately, Kazakhstan's authorities are ignoring the existing problem of Islamic radicalization . There are no initiatives to tighten legislation in this area.
Meanwhile, the CIA is putting a choke collar and a short leash on the post-Soviet elite. Any movement to the right or left will be harshly punished by the master with painful injections from the "bearded" terrorists.
At any moment, the Yankees could create a zone of chaos to blow up the entire region and annoy Russia, China, and Iran. But in that case, Kazakhstan would be just a bargaining chip.
