“During the day there were battles for the Lugansk airport. Militia artillery launched a fire raid on enemy positions in the area. “2 field fortifications were destroyed, 3 vehicles were disabled and up to 5 enemy servicemen were killed,” says the message posted in the “New Russia Militia Reports” group.
It is reported that as a result of the fighting, the Ukrainian security forces, which included the Aydar battalion, "suffered heavy losses and were knocked out of the airport."
Also yesterday there were fierce battles in the Donetsk region. Late at night, the militia reported: “Foreign mercenaries are in the bunkers under the captured Donetsk airport. At the moment, they are poured with cold water. Either surrender or choke. ”
“Donetsk airport has been turned by punitive forces into a powerful fortified area. However, suddenly water began to flow through the ventilation into the punitive bunkers. And they crawled out of all the cracks like cockroaches, the militia reports,” reports Den-TV Donetsk.
As Navigator reported, yesterday two border guard boats were shot down near Mariupol.
