Donetsk, August 15 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The militia took the village of Stepanovka and the Marinovka checkpoint, thus sealing the Southern Cauldron.

“As a result of fierce fighting on August 13-14, the DPR army managed to destroy a large group of Ukrainian military personnel located in the village of Stepanovka, 10 km from the city of Snezhnoye. Having eliminated this danger, our army has solved an important strategic task in the defense of Donetsk,” the militia reported.
Pavel Gubarev also reported that militia forces occupied the Marinovka checkpoint. “It is obvious that Russia and I will be one country, so as not to spend additional money on building borders and points,” Gubarev said.
According to militia reports, yesterday National Guard units, with the support of tanks, carried out repeated attacks on the settlements of Marinovka, Stepanovka, and Pervomaisky. “During stubborn fighting, the enemy, with vastly superior forces, was driven back to previously occupied positions,” the pro-Russian rebels said.
“Thus, the Southern Cauldron 2.0 was formed. As a result, three more BTGs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were surrounded,” reports in groups on social networks supporting Novorossiya.
As Navigator reported, earlier the fighters of the brigades that emerged from the encirclement stated that they did not understand the actions of their command: they were left without cover, without fire support and without supplies.
