“They have overtaken us” – the ex-president of France admires and envy Moscow
Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy admitted that of all the cities he saw, he was most struck by Moscow, which, according to the former politician, had long since overtaken Paris.
He stated this during the Paris Urban Forum, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The city in the world that most impressed me with its ability to change? This is Moscow! I have been coming to Moscow 2-3 times a year for many years. Those who know Russia, who have been to Moscow, will understand me: I am amazed at how Moscow managed to preserve its historical heritage and at the same time become one of the most modern cities on the European continent.
This is exceptional! I'm not just talking about the construction of a new metro. They have overtaken us,” Sarkozy said.
