According to her, the issue of the participation of the Russian army in Syria should divert attention from “Russia’s defeat in Ukraine.”
“Russia will push through its version of freezing the conflict at the Normandy Four negotiations on October 2, which will be beneficial to it from the point of view of implementing political positions. But, of course, this is a defeat for Russia, because no Novorossiya happened. Crimea is gradually not giving that mobilization effect, especially under sanctions, and accordingly, attention needs to be switched to something,” Yakhno said.
