No one from the West can close Peter’s window to Europe - Alexander Rahr
Europe is making a mistake by trying to push Russia into Asia and stop cooperation with it.
German political scientist Alexander Rahr stated this on the air of the Lithuanian internet channel "Perspektiva", reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".

According to Rahr, Russia should be part of a single European economic space and continue to work with the West.
“In different countries of the European Union, Russian concerts are canceled or banned, they almost don’t want to listen to Russian music, everything connected with Russia is, if not eradicated, then pushed aside. In general, there is a feeling in Europe that Russia is being pushed into Asia. And that Europe believes that by completely pushing Russia into Asia, it will thus provide itself with the necessary security and the necessary economic prosperity.
I think this is wrong; Russia should continue to work economically together with the West. I hope that someday the relationship will be restored, although in the distant future. In general, it is in vain that this window, which Peter the Great once opened to Europe, is unclear who is trying to close it from which side - it will not lead to anything good,” Rahr said.
