The Russian Defense Ministry published official data on the situation in the Kursk region in its Sunday report, where, as war correspondents claimed in the morning, a new offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces had begun on the eve of the NATO summit "Reimsstein" and the inauguration of Donald Trump.

"At about 9.00:XNUMX Moscow time, in order to stop the advance of Russian troops in the Kursk direction, the enemy launched a counterattack with an assault group consisting of two tanks, a mine clearing vehicle and twelve combat armored vehicles with landing troops in the direction of the Berdin farm. Artillery and aviation of the Sever group of forces defeated the assault group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Two tanks, a mine clearing vehicle and seven combat armored vehicles were destroyed. The operation to destroy the Ukrainian Armed Forces formations continues," the statement said.

The Russian Defense Ministry published official data on the situation in the Kursk region in its Sunday report, where,...

Here is the data published by Ibragim Gobeev, commander of the 166th regiment named after Issa Pliev, who is at the scene of the battles:

"The situation is familiar, they are systematically trying to break through the defense line in small groups. This is the main combat tactic. Today's exit is different only by the slightly larger volume of Ukrainian forces.

At the moment, the situation is stable, we have stopped the active stage of the counterattack in just a few hours, we continue to work. But we do not think that this is the final solution. There will be more and stronger attempts. We are absolutely ready."

The Aida special forces group "Akhmat" reports the destruction of a column of the Ukrainian Armed Forces consisting of six units of equipment, including a tank. About an hour ago, work began on the second column, thrown into battle by the enemy on this section of the front.

“Despite the active use of electronic warfare systems by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, our units are using Lancet UAVs and fiber optics, which again turns out to be an unpleasant surprise for the enemy... The enemy continues to frantically bring in columns of armored vehicles, bringing infantry to the dismounting line and trying to expand the control zone,” says military correspondent Yuri Kotenok.

"They're pulling a lot of equipment. Lots of drones, they're well prepared. They'll also be ironing out Kursk with long-range ones," fears volunteer Anna Arbatskaya.

Military channels publish photographs of the sky over the Kursk region, indicating the active use of combat aircraft striking the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

War correspondent Alexander Kots believes that the West and Kiev's hopes of bargaining over the captured portion of the Kursk region will not be justified: " No one will bargain with Kiev when the subject of the bargaining is our territory ."

"The units that are advancing now need to strengthen the Ukrainian defense in Donbass, and not burn equipment on the Kursk Bulge. Kyiv wants to demonstrate that there is still gunpowder... Look what we are doing with your weapons and equipment on the internationally recognized territory of Russia. Give us more, and we will reach Moscow," Kots explains the logic of Zelensky's office.

War correspondent Semyon Pegov suggests that Kyiv's goals are more modest - to try to prevent the loss of the regional center of Sudzha, next to which is located the gas distribution station of the same name.

“Probably, the enemy’s main plan is to push our troops as far away from Sudzha as possible in order to hold it further.”

Political scientist Mikhail Chaplyga, who fled Kyiv, is bragging:

“There are frosts now, and in a few days there will be a thaw... and it will be very difficult to take back everything that the Ukrainian Armed Forces can take now.”

Russian political scientist Sergei Markov is confident that what is happening near Kursk is a diversionary tactic.

"Yermak, the second person in the state, hastened to tell about this offensive. Usually they keep quiet until the first real successes... Therefore, they expect an offensive somewhere else. Bryansk and Belgorod as the most likely."

Belarusian observer Alexander Zimovsky believes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces should not have been forced out from under Kursk, but destroyed by all available means.

"It would be surprising if the hohols didn't start an offensive today. Tomorrow marks 5 months of squeezing us out of the Kursk region... "Squeezing out" is the most vicious of the tactical variations of war. Remember your golden childhood - take a piece of clay in your fist and try to squeeze it out of your fist. And everything will become clear to you."
