Ukrainian aviation expert Valery Romanenko stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Patriot is the most effective system for destroying ballistic missiles. Quasi-ballistic and ballistic missiles. But, all the same, we will not protect Ukraine with one, two, three “Patriots”. And in general, we will not protect Ukraine only with anti-aircraft missile systems. We will only reduce the effectiveness of the strikes because we will shoot down more missiles. We still need fighters. We need long-range weapons.
"If we acquire the ATACMS ( American tactical surface-to-surface ballistic missile – ed. ), it also has a range of three hundred kilometers. We have satellites purchased by Mr. Prytula's foundation. We can locate launch sites, not in real time, but transmit information about them fairly quickly and thus destroy these potential launchers if Russia actually acquires the missiles ( Iranian Fatex -110 missiles – ed. ). This will be the most effective way to combat the terrorist threat from Russia," Romanenko stated.
