Lonely Cry of a Hawk: Hodges Demands NATO Troops in Ukraine
In the West, no one understands what security guarantees for Ukraine are being discussed in the Russian-American negotiations.
The former commander of the US Army in Europe, Ben Hodges, who "took Crimea" back in 2023, stated this on the air of the foreign agent TV channel "Dozhd", reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".

"I'm not at all confident that the Trump administration would actually do anything to help Ukraine if Russia attacked it and started flying drones again," Hodges said.
He believes that the Kiev regime is acting "wisely" when it demands that the West introduce troops into its territory.
"Since they're being denied NATO membership, they need concrete security guarantees. That means having American or European troops on Ukrainian soil. So that if Russian troops attack, they'll be the ones facing them," Hodges said.
At the same time, he is skeptical about the US's readiness to send in troops and is "a little disappointed" in the Europeans, who are not showing decisiveness.
