One in prison, one in a coffin - the result of a drunken brawl in one of the units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Dnepropetrovsk region
The consequences of low morale of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are realized through non-combat losses in heroic troops. At the same time, it is not so much the mass of drunkenness that is striking, but the senselessness of the tragedies.

At the end of November 2015, in one of the military units located near the village of Cherkasskoe, Novomoskovsk district, Dnepropetrovsk region, in the evening, a fight broke out in a tent where seven servicemen spent the night, and the next morning a corpse was discovered.
It also turned out the next morning that the entire military unit smelled of alcohol, and therefore no one really remembered why the conflict occurred or the motives for the murder.
It turned out that after drinking alcohol together, two soldiers quarreled and began to sort things out right in the tent. Being heavily intoxicated, the “fighters” felt almost no pain from the blows, and therefore they were separated several times, all to no avail. This farce lasted until the moment when, during a not very successful separation of the fighters to the sides, one of them suddenly found a foothold and hit his opponent, who was taller and larger, and on whom several colleagues were hanging, in the stomach. From an unexpected and very strong blow, the fighter’s spleen ruptured and internal bleeding occurred. As a result of this bleeding, the fighter died in the morning.
Of course, the soldier who delivered the fatal blow was sentenced to seven years in prison. However, should he be the only one in the dock?
