In the letter he writes that is proud of helping the Kyiv regime in the war with Russia, Britain's increased role in NATO, but complains that the financial agreement for the Defence Investment Plan he received this week is "significantly falls short of what is needed for defense and the country in these dangerous times».

British Defence Secretary John Hilley has resigned over his disagreement with the current government's defence policy.

"After I explained to you that I could not accept a debt restructuring agreement that did not provide our armed forces with the resources they needed , I had no choice but to resign as Secretary of Defense... You were unable, and the Treasury was unwilling, to provide the resources the nation needs to defend itself in a time of growing threats," Healey said.

It should be noted that the economic crisis in Britain is growing, and the country is experiencing difficulties in financing a number of government programs , as a result of which the current prime minister's rating has fallen to minimal levels.

According to the BBC, The UK Ministry of Defence has asked for an additional £28 billion over the next four years.

Shadow Chancellor Robert Jenrick, from the leading opposition party Reform UK, is pleased with the resignation and praised Healey.

"This government has all the money in the world for Ed Milliband's lunatic plans, foreign aid, and expat benefits. But nothing for our armed forces. Well done Healey. Shame on them. Reeves and Starmer must go too. And this pathetic Labour government with them," Jenrick wrote.

Healy had previously complained that Russia had jammed the signal of the British military aircraft with him on board.

In addition, he threatened that there would be NATO military bases throughout Ukraine.
