Odessa customs officers were caught red-handed and with a daily cash register of bribes
In the Odessa region, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained officials from customs and the State Border Service for bribing, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

This is stated in a message from the press service of the SBU.
“Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine exposed the state inspector of the customs post “Kuchurgan” of Odessa Customs and the inspector of the Southern Regional Directorate of the State Border Service for taking a bribe,” the report said.
As noted, officials systematically demanded bribes from entrepreneurs for the unhindered export of goods from Ukraine.
Thus, officials demanded $300 from the owners of a loaded minibus.
“Law enforcement officers detained the criminals at the workplace while receiving 9,2 thousand hryvnia for another illegal benefit for unhindered passage of two cars with goods across the border,” the report says.
As noted, during an inspection of the premises of the checkpoint, a “daily cash desk” with almost 30 thousand hryvnia was identified. Based on this fact, criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
