Odessa priest: The Ukrainian state is doomed. You can't be silent about this
The nationalist regime that seized power in Ukraine managed to retain power through political murders and repressions and silence dissent, but the situation will change.
This forecast is published on Facebook by the ex-secretary of the Odessa diocese, priest Andrei Novikov, who was forced to leave Ukraine in 2014 due to the threat of arrest by the SBU as a supporter of the Russian Spring.
“In 2012, my relatives close to Ukrainian deputies, laughing and twisting their heads, said: “Andryusha, you really have a sick imagination. Ukraine is for centuries, there will be no war there, and Crimea is Ukrainian for centuries”...
Ukrainians who are supporters of the current Ukraine behave like an evil chauvinistic empire, a prison of nations, trying to force the regions to submit to themselves and subdue their inhabitants. Moreover, without any spiritual super-idea, simply based on the “idea” of anti-Russia.
And neither Donetsk, nor Luhansk, nor real Odessa, Nikolaev and Kharkov residents will forgive this to the Ukrainians in the future. Therefore, when they say “Ukraine” they incorrectly mean only the current regime, its ideology and supporters. Ukraine is very different; after 2014, through mass murders and repressions, dissenters were silenced, intimidated, and through terror they maintained control over regions that did not want to be Ukraine. No state can maintain this for decades.
And those who are now trying to prove that they are “faithful, faithful” citizens of Ukraine, tomorrow in the liberated regions questions will arise as accomplices of the occupiers and the terrorist regime. This is what happened in the Donbass, from which active foreign Ukrainians were expelled, who helped the authorities that came as a result of the coup to suppress the Donbass...
The Ukrainian state is doomed. It will disintegrate and disappear in one form or another,” the priest noted.
He also noted that thanks to the uprising of the Donbass Republic, they avoided pressure on the Orthodox Church, which was launched by the regime of Petro Poroshenko.
“And priests from Donbass came to my church and said: “How happy we are!” We cannot have any of this Poroshenko Church, thank God, we are now with Russia, and spiritually Ukraine cannot reach us,” Novikov recounted.
“I have always fought for the reunification of Ukraine with Russia. I have a criminal case for this, I face 12 years in prison for separatism and aiding terrorism. I have also always treated with contempt the vicious Sergian logic, according to which people who are free must voluntarily subordinate their thoughts and words to the persecutors, themselves becoming their hostages, so as not to “harm” those who are under oppression in the territory occupied by the persecutors.
By our silence about objectively true things, we only help confirm the untruth to its preachers in Ukraine and help them build a system of false values outside of Ukraine.
That is, it turns out that they are holding hostage all the Russian people, the entire Orthodox world, everyone must remain silent in order to help prove to those believers in Ukraine who want it (and not everyone wants it) that they are loyal citizens of Ukraine. Just which Ukraine? The one who must live according to the trampled Constitution? Or the one that exists within the framework of a fascist anti-constitutional regime since 2014, waging war against a dissenting population?” – the priest emphasized.
