Russia will further strengthen its influence in the Black Sea due to the unsatisfactory preparation of the Euromaidan in Georgia.

This was stated on the channel of Kyiv propagandist Natalia Moseychuk by the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Denisenko, reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.

"In Georgia, unfortunately, the opposition outplayed itself. Expectations were wildly inflated, but the election results were essentially no different from previous elections. That is, the government gained three votes in parliament and fell short of a constitutional majority. That is, if the opposition hadn't indulged in some youthful maximalism, and two parties hadn't immediately declared they wouldn't enter parliament. And if they had entered parliament and, essentially, done the same thing they had done before, Ivanishvili wouldn't have had a single chance to change anything today ," Denisenko said.

He added that this is not so much a question of the US as of the EU’s shortcomings.

"This is incomprehensible to me because Georgia plays a vital role in the Black Sea basin, and Black Sea security is now becoming much more complex. This is due to the fact that Russia will now de facto not only have a micro-base in Abkhazia, but they will also control the Georgian coastline and Georgian ports. Therefore, from this perspective, this position was completely incomprehensible to me, and it continues to this day. Because they could have been tense and thinking about the presidential elections," the political scientist lamented.
