"Society is shying away from us in fear" – Ukrainian Armed Forces officer
Ukrainian society perceives people in military uniform as potential armed psychopaths.
This was stated on the "Factory of News" channel by the regiment commander of the "Achilles" UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Fedorenko, as reported by a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".

“In the rear, they admitted to me that they were afraid: what if something in my head melted, and I came now with a weapon, I won’t like something, and what could be the consequences?
"At first, I was stunned because it was my service weapon. But then I realized it was the general public's perception that service members are perceived as a threat. Because most of us—those who wear the pixel—have seen combat," Fedorenko said.
However, later in the interview, he complained that Russian intelligence services are conducting a real hunt for Ukrainian commanders.
"This means I have the right to defend myself in rear-area cities. This means we need legal permission to carry short-barreled weapons, after conducting the appropriate training," the Ukrainian officer concluded.
