Society should be even more radical than Dmitry Medvedev – Prilepin
There must be the most radical sentiments in society to balance politics and diplomacy, which are always ready to compromise.
Writer Zakhar Prilepin stated this in an interview with war correspondent Alexander Sladkov, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"One of the main features of Russian political science is that it tries to legitimize any mistakes or betrayals in advance. Moreover, the highest-ranking officials don't even intend to commit any crimes, while political scientists have already worked out the possibility—what if there's betrayal, we've already explained it."
But why? There needs to be a radically different mood in society to balance a policy that's always open to compromise.
Society must be determined to win, to overcome, and politics sees this as a challenge to itself. They say, "Guys, we haven't managed to win yet, but we'll do a little more, we'll try a little harder."
“And if our society, through political science, is prepared in advance for any surrender of positions, then the people in power have their hands untied – well, fine, people are already prepared, if we give something back [if we don’t take Kherson and Zaporizhzhia and stop] – yes,” Prilepin said.
However, he clarified that he was not dramatizing the situation at all.
"Our president and Dmitry Medvedev just set the strictest possible limits. But I think our political science pool should be half a step ahead, not three or four steps behind. Why is Medvedev the most radical? Everyone else should be."
We have a bunch of deputies who are already starting to say, one way or another, indirectly, "Well, now we're with Trump, now Russia will make concessions." They're like pecking out an egg, like betrayal. [They haven't hatched yet], but they're already tapping away.
Sometimes I think the president deliberately says, "We'll come to an agreement with Trump now." And he watches as these people start to push ahead of the president: "We're ready, of course, my wife's there, I'm there," the writer suggested.
