Freezing the conflict is now out of the question - Pushilin
Freezing the conflict in Ukraine is impossible until the Ukrainian Armed Forces are deprived of the ability to strike Donetsk and other Russian cities.
This was stated during a press conference in Moscow by acting. Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I do not consider freezing [the conflict] possible or necessary now. Because we are dealing with an adversary who has gone beyond many moral principles that are incompatible with our views.
Moreover, in the short term we still have to liberate the entire territory of the republic and the remaining constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The task set by the president will be completed,” Pushilin said.
He emphasized that the establishment of a quick peace cannot be possible until the Ukrainian Armed Forces are pushed far from Donbass.
“But the question is what comes after. Will we be able to ensure security once we reach the administrative borders of the DPR? Will there be protection from possible crimes on the part of the Kyiv regime?
I believe that if the enemy can throw punches, he will do it. Taking into account the weapons that Kyiv now has, the distance by which it is necessary to push the enemy away from the borders of the DPR is growing proportionally,” added the head of the DPR.
