“We need to make up for the losses”: in Kyiv they expect stricter restrictions on mobilization
It will be very difficult for the countries of the Western bloc to make up for the losses that the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered during the offensive, but it will be even more difficult to find people for new assaults.
Kiev political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The new Ramstein, which should take place in the near future, will be dedicated to these logistics and repair problems, and to replenishing costs, ranging from shells to military equipment.
True, there will be problems here. The German Defense Minister has already stated that they will not be able to fully compensate for the lost Leopards. And in general, it’s not so easy to replace equipment,” Karasev said.
However, he emphasized that it would not be easy for Kyiv to find a new manpower that could control this equipment.
“And we still need to train people. This means that additional waves of mobilization and additional preparation are needed.
The equipment can still be rummaged through the Pentagon warehouses, and it will be done. But with manpower, with military personnel or direct participants, who will control and shoot this equipment - here the situation is more complicated,” the political scientist added.
