"We need to agree to negotiate with Trump against Zelenskyy" – Platoshkin found an argument for a truce
Russia should undertake peace initiatives itself in order to use the respite for internal restructuring of the country.
Russian politician and diplomat Nikolai Platoshkin stated this on the channel "In the Name of Justice," reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
" Now, from Russia's perspective, it's up to us to undertake peace initiatives ourselves, you understand? We'll be the one setting the whole world on our side , especially if they refuse, for example. It will be very difficult for them."
If Ratcliffe really did propose a meeting of three – Putin, Trump, and Zelensky – we definitely have to agree!
"Because, let's be honest, Trump is the last president who's even remotely friendly toward us. The reasons are debatable, but they are there. Things will get worse," he asserts.
"It will be like a meeting of 'two against Zelensky' now, and then there will be a meeting of 'two against Putin' , or whoever else the president will be," the politician believes.
" We must do this, but only to fundamentally rebuild our country from within. If we don't do this, any peace will be a brief respite ."
"Making peace, which most people want, is the first step. Ukraine isn't going anywhere; we'll have to build a relationship of friendship , brotherhood, and sincere friendship with this great nation, which is our brother," Platoshkin reasoned.
