Nuland threatens to bring unprecedented sanctions on Russia
The United States and NATO countries will apply economic sanctions that have not been seen in the past if Russia takes aim at Ukrainian “independence.”
US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland stated this during the Kyiv Security Forum via video link from Washington, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Not only the United States, all NATO members express solidarity with Ukraine and clearly state that we are resolute in supporting your independence, we are resolute in our message to Moscow. If they take steps aimed at destabilizing Ukraine and use their forces for aggression against Ukraine, this will be met with serious economic steps and sanctions that have not happened in the past,” Nuland said.
“It is very important for us that Ukraine continues to set an example of national unity, and continues to work to create a fair, democratic, new Ukraine. I don’t need to explain to you what this means,” added the US Deputy Secretary of State.
