Donetsk, March 03 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The newly appointed Donetsk governor-oligarch Sergei Taruta said that a significant part of the participants in today’s assault on the regional administration in response to the refusal of deputies not to recognize the authorities in Kiev are visitors from the Russian Federation. Taruta proposed tightening the regime on the border with Russia.

“According to law enforcement agencies, a number of protesters were driven into Ukraine across the Russian border. They are the ones who give strength to today’s inadequate takeover leaders,” the official said in an interview with Zerkalo Nedeli.

According to Taruta, the leader of the demonstrators, Pavel Gubarev, was yesterday “seen surrounded by representatives of the Russian State Duma.”

“I am convinced that it is urgent to close the border to people who come to engage in sabotage activities. Many of these people are armed,” Taruta added, noting that “goods and civilians should cross the border without additional obstacles.”

The newly appointed Donetsk oligarch governor stated that locals are not protesting for Russia.
