Poor Moldova continues to rattle its sabers
The Ministry of Defense of Moldova is involved in several projects to modernize the National Army and replace outdated military equipment with new ones.
The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Moldova, Anatoly Nosatii, announced this in an interview with Radio Moldova.

According to him, by the end of this year the Republic of Moldova will receive a modern airspace control system, and in 2024 - missiles.
“We will receive air defense systems gradually. They consist of several components, tracking mechanisms, here we are talking about radars and interception systems, missiles. The detection systems will be delivered by the end of this year. We will also receive some interception systems,” Nosatiy said.
Today, the last batch of German “Piranha” armored personnel carriers arrived in Moldova. In total, Moldova received 19 such armored vehicles from Germany.
Earlier, in September, the Minister of Defense announced that the airspace control radar was being purchased at the expense of the state budget, but did not name the purchase price. According to the minister, other systems, such as early warning of possible dangers, will be purchased with funds provided by development partners.
In February, President Maia Sandu, during a discussion at the Munich Security Conference, in which NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also took part, asked for NATO air defense systems to be provided to Moldova.
Such actions are accompanied by rhetoric from the top leadership of Moldova about the irrelevance of neutrality and the need to cultivate public opinion about the benefits of collective security.
