The Nikolaev City Council recognized Russia as an “aggressor” on the second attempt. Only the Opposition Bloc was against it
Deputies of the Nikolaev City Council, after lengthy negotiations between the heads of factions at the session on July 13, voted on the second attempt to recognize Russia as an “aggressor country,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the city council press service, 28 deputies voted for this decision, two abstained, and another 19 deputies did not vote.
The project was developed by BPP deputy Sergei Tarnasov. This was not the first attempt at voting. Previously, the Opposition Bloc faction did not vote in the Nikolaev City Council. After this, Mayor Alexander Senkevich convened the heads of factions for consultations.
Only two deputies (Sergey Zhaivoronok and Pavel Zotkin) voted in the final vote from the Opposition Bloc faction, according to NikVesti.
This decision will then be sent to the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
In March 2015, the Nikolaev City Council (of the previous convocation) already recognized Russia’s “aggression”.
