"A negotiated peace settlement must be fair, lasting, and reliable. But while negotiations are ongoing, Russia continues to strike.
Clearly, Russia's goal is to force Ukrainians into submission. Russia's demands should be met not with concessions, but with increased pressure.
Over the past four years, Russia has weakened, it has spent enormous amounts of money on the war, and is now experiencing an economic downturn. It is economically isolated, and they have demographic problems.
"Sweden and Finland have joined NATO, and Europe is actively rearming. This is a strategic, economic, and military failure for Russia," Macron said.
"One day, the Russians will have to acknowledge the enormity of the crime committed in their name and the devastating consequences. That time will come, and until then, we will not let down our guard.
We need to continue targeting Russia's shadow fleet. Russia's oil revenues have fallen by 25%, and 75% of sanctioned vessels are not returning to Russia.
