No guarantees for corrupt Ukraine, says American TV
The United States should not give Ukraine any security guarantees because it is one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
Columnist Kaylee McGee White stated this on the Fox News channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" I'm not sure the United States should be giving Ukraine any security guarantees at all . This is worrisome because it's yet another condition we're putting forward in exchange for our assistance to Ukraine.
And I think American voters, while they want Russia to win, are rightly concerned about how much money we've sent to the region.
It's worth remembering that Ukraine was not a loyal friend of the United States in the past. Before Putin's invasion in 2022, it was one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
"Just because Putin invaded and started a war doesn't mean Ukraine has suddenly become a well-governed and uncorrupt country. Frankly, we've only made the problem worse by failing to monitor and audit how the billions of dollars we sent them were spent," White said.
