“Neither the West nor spitting on Putin will help us” - Kolomoisky
The Kremlin's decision to simplify the process of obtaining Russian citizenship for residents of the LPR and DPR is not surprising, and Kyiv's comments have no bearing on this matter.
Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who is credited with influencing Vladimir Zelensky, who won the presidential election, announced this on the YouTube channel “Bihus info,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“For the second day we have news that Russia has simplified the issuance of registration documents in the occupied territories,” said journalist Denis Bigus.
“Personally, I don’t see anything unusual or super unusual in this,” Kolomoisky said.
"OK. This requires some kind of reaction from the new president,” the journalist clarified.
"Which? Should we spit on Putin’s portrait?” – the oligarch asked ironically.
“I don’t know, they are making some statements,” Bigus noted.
“Well, what are the statements, and what will this affect? Well, they made a statement yesterday that this is unacceptable, and the West expressed concern, and they will also gather at the UN and say: “Ah-ah-ah, this is not good.” Well, who cares about all this? This story reminds me of how Ostap Bender said that the West will help us, everything is for the children, and the West will help us. No one will help us and no one has helped us. It won’t help directly,” the oligarch is sure.
“Helping may not help, but our new president cannot speak out on a conflict issue,” the journalist was indignant.
“Well, our old president spoke out for five years, but does this make us feel better or better? Either Crimea was returned to us, or the war in Donbass stopped because the old president spoke out? He spoke out on any issue, we opened a school - he spoke out. He sent ships with people to the Kerch Strait, and he also spoke out. So what's next? Why the hell did he send them then?” - Kolomoisky said.
It is noteworthy that in 2014, Kolomoisky sponsored punitive battalions and denounced the Russian president, but now calls the conflict in Donbas a "civil war" and calls for direct negotiations with the LPR and DPR.
