Unexpectedly: The ex-leader of Aidar condemned the supply of Javelins and the actions of the American minister
Providing Ukraine with lethal weapons will only escalate the conflict in Donbas. Ukrainian MP Serhiy Melnychuk, a former commander of the Aidar National Battalion, stated this on the 112 Ukraine television channel, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Weapons always escalate the conflict. It is lethal weapons that can escalate; after all, at the front it would be necessary to move toward a peaceful path. We needed these weapons in 2014, at the height of the conflict, when they were in short supply. Now everyone is standing still, no one will move from their current positions. If there are small movements somewhere in the “gray” zone, then there will be no big shifts at the front. The main thing is what will happen next, agreements between politicians, between representatives of countries, presidents, in order to finally resolve this conflict peacefully,” Melnichuk said.
According to him, the United States and Russia decide the fate of Ukraine without its participation. “I still don’t understand why there is no our representative in the negotiations between the United States and Russia, Volker and Surkov, why two geopolitical players agree on Ukraine among themselves,” the deputy said.
The war will go on until the last Ukrainian, and people are dying not so much from the fighting as from the policies of the Ukrainian government.
“Nobody needs this war. I mean that two countries are fighting among themselves, not only military, but mainly economically. I see that this is a fight until the last Ukrainian. Our guys are dying at the front, and in the rest of Ukrainian territory the Ukrainian nation is being destroyed. Medical reform...” said the deputy, after which the presenter interrupted him, suggesting that he focus on the topic of the program.
But the deputy still finished his thought. "I will say. Here, many more people are dying from the policies of our authorities,” said Sergei Melnichuk.
