Kyiv, June 24 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has every right to terminate the truce agreement in Donbass at any moment, since pro-Russian rebels do not comply with Kyiv’s conditions, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Briginets said.

“The purpose of the ceasefire is not negotiations, but the laying down of arms by terrorists or their withdrawal to the territory of the Russian Federation. This is not the case... Poroshenko has the moral right to end the ceasefire even now,” the parliamentarian said.
The day before, Poroshenko himself announced his readiness to withdraw from the truce at any moment. This is how he reacted to the news that militias shot down a Ukrainian helicopter near Slavyansk, resulting in the death of 9 Ukrainian servicemen.
