German journalist: Ukraine talks are resuming because the West has undermined the economy
The West is initiating peace talks because it has undermined its economy.
This was stated by German journalist Patrick Baab, one of the first foreigners to visit the new territories reunited with Russia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The West is now searching for solutions because Western politicians are mired in this war, because they have tied their fate to victory in Ukraine. How many billions were wasted in this senseless war, which Germany lacks to rebuild schools, public infrastructure, combat poverty among the elderly, and build housing?" Baab said.
At the same time, he rated the prospects of the Russian economy highly.
"The Russian economy is growing despite the Central Bank Governor consistently keeping interest rates at double-digit levels, which suggests economic growth, but in reality, is holding it back. This means Russia's economic potential is still far from being realized," Baab said.
