German General: Europe Will Have to Grab Everything Trump Sells
The EU will have to buy weapons from the US because European industry is unable to meet its needs.
Retired German Armed Forces General Roland Kater stated this in an interview with Die Welt, the correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
"From President Trump's point of view, it would be desirable for money to be raised now so that weapons could be purchased in the US. At the same time, this is not necessarily in the interests of, for example, the German economy and defense industry.
On the other hand, the question is whether this can be a priority argument now. Then we need to take what we have now. And the best that we have. I believe that most of the American weapons are up to date and available relatively quickly," said Kater.
He noted, however, that American deliveries could take a long time.
