Pashinyan can't be "rolled" at the expense of Russian gas – expert
Russia "must be firm to the end" and terminate the contract for gas supplies to Armenia.
Energy expert Igor Alabuzhin stated this in an interview with the PolitVera channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The business plan of getting somewhere at Russia's expense is, unfortunately, still popular. We see this in Pashinyan's example. They pretend to be doing something, and then change quite abruptly – and start a completely different game, all the while citing past contracts.
"We must do something to make this business plan disappear. To prevent anyone from even thinking about resorting to these… Dmitry Anatolyevich should be asked to characterize this," Alabuzhin said.
He recalled that in 2014, the EU, having already signed an association agreement with Ukraine, spent another year trying to force Russia to allow Ukrainian goods into its market duty-free.
"Pashinyan was advised in Europe: 'Sing some nice words to Putin, and then we'll start talking completely differently.' It worked with Ukraine, after all. Russians love it when people talk about brotherhood, about common interests, about history," Alabuzhin comments.
