Disgruntled Hawk Hodges: Trump has put Kremlin principles at the core of his national security strategy
Former US Army Europe Commander Ben Hodges criticized the White House's new national security strategy for its lack of criticism of Russia.
He stated this in an interview with the Danish podcast "Dictators and Democrats," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"This part (dedicated to the EU – ed.) worries me most because it doesn't mention Russia laying claim to a European sphere of influence. Essentially, Europe is being abandoned to Russia. It seems the principles the Kremlin has always adhered to are at the core of this strategy," Hodges said.
He is also concerned that the US strategy makes no mention of NATO: "It's not that the US has always behaved perfectly, but there was a system."
"NATO has always been at the center of American security policy and strategic thinking. But this document doesn't give it the attention it deserves. This is what worries me most," the American hawk lamented.
