Don't complain about Ukraine negotiations, but bring your money, - NATO Secretary General to Europeans
EU countries should not complain about the new US administration's position on Ukraine, but increase their spending on supporting Kyiv and offer new ideas.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced this during the second day of the Munich Security Conference, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Regarding Ukraine, there is a clear shared understanding that we must provide Ukraine with the best possible conditions for peace negotiations. This means continuing training in Ukraine, continuing arms supplies to Ukraine, but also ensuring that the outcome of the peace negotiations is a Ukraine that will never again be challenged by the Russians, by Vladimir Putin. This must be a lasting peace; Americans and Europeans are in complete agreement on this.
"And to my European friends, I would say: engage in the discussion without complaining about the possibility of ending up at the negotiating table, but by putting forward concrete proposals and ideas. "Increase spending, ensure that training and arms supplies continue , but also offer concrete ideas on what, for example, a security guarantee could look like," Rutte said.
