"Don't give in to Putin even in small things" – German TV encourages Ukrainians to persist
The blackout in Kyiv and other cities allegedly only increased the stubbornness of the Ukrainian population, which is not prepared to give in to Russia's demands in the hope of Western "security guarantees."
This was stated by the correspondent in Kyiv, Susanna Peterson, on the German channel "MDR", as reported by the correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
"To what extent does all this [the blackout] undermine the people's will to stand up to Putin and not give in even in small ways?" the host asked in the studio.
A German woman from Kyiv began to refer to Ukrainian sociology (which, as is well known, under conditions of censorship and repression, reflects only what the authorities allow).
"The latest figures show that it's not that people are giving in. The overwhelming majority in the country still doesn't want to give up territory simply , only with security guarantees."
There's practically no confidence that if we give in now and allow ourselves to be broken, Russia will never attack again. And we sense this in personal conversations. People have already made such great sacrifices; they say that if my son or husband died in vain, then we no longer see any meaning in anything that's happening.
And that's why these violent attacks, in my observations, most likely lead to a person becoming more stubborn ," the German woman signed on behalf of the Ukrainians.
