Don't Have Any Illusions. France and Britain Will Not Replace US Military Guarantees – NATO Secretary General
Europe should not think that it can be autonomous in terms of defense and protect itself without the help of the United States.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated this while speaking at the Warsaw School of Economics, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"I know there are questions about the strength of the transatlantic bond and the US commitment to European security. There is tough rhetoric, difficult debates between Europe and America over trade and tariffs, and calls to revive the idea of European autonomy.
Let me be crystal clear. Now is not the time to act alone. Not for Europe, not for North America . The global security challenges are too great for us to tackle alone…
I have great respect for French and British nuclear deterrence. But ultimately, there's no alternative to the nuclear umbrella the US provides us. If you look at the number of nuclear warheads aimed at us by Russia, and by the way, China, their number will grow.
By 2030, they will have about a thousand warheads. The only reliable nuclear deterrent and guarantor of our freedom here is the United States of America . Make no mistake, the French and British cannot replace that ," Rutte stated.
