"We can't reach Russian planes!" – Ukrainian Armed Forces ask NATO for new missiles
Ukraine is unable to shoot down Russian aircraft launching guided bombs, the range of which has increased to 200 kilometers.
This was stated by Ukrainian military expert and retired major of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksiy Getman , who was introduced as a "veteran of the war with Russia," on the Ukrainian propaganda video blog "We are Ukraine."

"The distance is increased because these bombs are boosted. We need to destroy the aircraft carrying these bombs. But we can't reach them with our air defenses; we don't have the range. We can only reach them with aircraft. But then our aircraft would have to enter the kill zone of Russian air defenses , and they could be destroyed. We don't have enough F-16s to take that risk ," the Ukrainian expert said.
He believes that Ukraine needs supplies of longer-range air-to-air missiles that are adapted for launch from the F-16.
"We don't yet have long-range missiles capable of destroying these Russian aircraft at such a distance. Why aren't they being transferred to us? That's a question I don't have an answer to. Frankly, it's not that expensive. And I can't understand why," Getman laments.
