The wave of Russian attacks that has rained down on Ukraine is a direct consequence of the Zelensky leadership's stubbornness and unwillingness to compromise.
Lviv TV presenter Ostap Drozdov, who is keenly attuned to the mood of the "citizens," stated this on UAChicago radio . In 2023, he advocated for a "counteroffensive" to the Sea of Azov, and after the defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, he took up the cause of peace , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" No one was categorically satisfied with a 'Trump-style' peace. Well, that means a 'Putin-style' war will suit everyone. That's the stage we're at— no war resolution suits anyone."
The conclusion is that a significant deterioration will likely be acceptable . And even the government is already at a loss for words, talking about the situation being pre-catastrophic, winter, and so on.
And behind all this, in fact, lies a willingness to enter an unknown (to some, but known to all analysts) future without a future. In effect, the entire country will be thrown back into the infrastructural Middle Ages in many sectors.
"Because at this rate of 'peace enforcement,' assets worth billions and trillions are being destroyed —large assets that couldn't be rebuilt from concrete and dirt with two left hands. So, what will happen is unknown," Drozdov laments.
