"I won't reveal any information, but the situation in Kharkiv is not bad" – Ukrainian energy expert
Residents of the Ukrainian capital must prepare for a winter without heating. This is due to Russia's successful attack on Kyiv's key thermal power plants. However, Lviv and even Kharkiv are still relatively well prepared for the cold.
Energy expert Stanislav Ignatiev announced this on the SlawaLife video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Ignatiev also hinted at Russia's need to improve its heating and energy infrastructure in other cities, where, according to him, the situation is much better than in the capital.
" Regarding heat generation, particularly in Kyiv, there's no longer any point in talking about an energy truce. I can see from my window that Thermal Power Plant No. 5 has been burning for three days now, and Thermal Power Plant No. 6 is practically nonexistent. This means the situation in Kyiv will be quite dire, and the capital's heat supply ..."
We energy companies call this the autumn-winter period. The autumn-winter period, or what we commonly call the heating season, is actually the autumn-winter period when we enter the heating season.
The situation with heat supply in the capital will be difficult here , in other cities, I won’t go into details so as not to inform the enemy, but the situation there is not bad : both in my native Kharkov, and in the same Lviv. In Khmelnytskyi, the situation with preparations for winter is not bad.
"The capital lost the battle for the winter. Therefore, we will all work together in the capital to prepare for a rather challenging winter and to navigate this period," Ignatyev stated.
